A Casa Cody Wedding

Kirstin and Damien gathered family and friends on a crisp Halloween afternoon, the anniversary day of Kristin’s parents’ wedding, at The Historic Casa Cody Inn in Palm Springs. Kristen says she picked the venue because she “had some of the best family memories out in the desert,” vacationing to Palm Springs with her family when she was growing up. “There’s something so magical about Palm Springs,” she told us, “the weather, the people and overall relaxation of the town.”

She met her handsome man at the US Open of Surfing when he worked a guest bartender at a restaurant she also worked for. She says he spotted her from the moment he walked in: “he walked in and immediately had all his friends come up to me to hype him up for the rest of the night before he would talk to me.” The spunky couple “eventually met up and walked around downtown the same night till 2 AM,” then stayed together ever since!

On their big day Kristen donned her Love Marley by Watters bridal gown, Miu Miu heels and West Coast Couture veil to meet Damien at the altar in his Calvin Klein suit and Converse. Their Signature Party Rentals reception was filled with an adorable array of personalized trinkets – from Jenga with the special date and the newlyweds’ names carved on the side to a basket of “keep warm” blankets – and decorated with Palm Springs Florist arrangements. The guests enjoyed LB Tacos, a GC Photobooth and a beautiful, succulent-strewn Over The Rainbow wedding cake to finish out the night.
